Islamic Family in Edmonton, Alberta has completed MUHSEN’s certification process, committing to awareness, accommodation, and acceptance for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Certification is not a plaque on a wall. It means a centre has built accommodation into how it operates: accessible prayer halls and washrooms, disability awareness khutbahs and events, support for caregivers, and volunteers and staff trained to welcome people of all abilities.
Islamic Family joins a growing list of MUHSEN certified centres across Canada, and is the newest certified centre in Edmonton. Our thanks to their team for the work behind this, and to the families who will feel the difference.
